Counseling for Teens Navigating Anxiety, Depression, ADHD & Life Transitions

 Being a teenager today is hard.

Between school pressure, social stress, identity development, family dynamics, and the constant presence of technology, many teens feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or misunderstood. Some struggle silently. Others act out, shut down, or feel stuck in patterns they don’t know how to change.

At Serotonic Wellness, I provide teen therapy for youth ages 10+ in Tacoma and throughout Washington via secure telehealth. I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where teens can talk openly, build coping skills, and learn healthier ways to navigate emotions, relationships, and daily stress.

 I use evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while keeping sessions engaging, relatable, and developmentally appropriate.

In teen therapy, we focus on:

  • Understanding thoughts, emotions, and behaviors 
  • Learning coping and grounding skills 
  • Building emotional awareness 
  • Improving communication
  • Strengthening confidence and self-trust
  • Developing practical tools for stress and anxiety
  • Supporting healthy routines and boundaries

I also incorporate teens’ interests and strengths into sessions, whether that’s art, music, gaming, journaling, movement, or creative expression, because therapy works best when it feels relevant and personal.

This helps teens stay engaged while building real-life skills they can use outside of session.

Partnering With Parents & Caregivers

 While teen sessions are confidential, I believe in appropriate caregiver collaboration.

Parents and caregivers may receive:

  • General progress updates
  • Support with behavior strategies at home
  • Guidance around communication and boundaries
  • Education on anxiety, depression, and emotional development

My goal is to support the whole system while maintaining your teen’s trust and autonomy.
